It's that time of the year again, and the last thing we want to do (or maybe we do depending on your relationship to their parents) is buy kids an overstimulating drum set or loud battery-operated toy. They're a dime a dozen and already most likely in their home.

What we want? A new era of cozy and curated gifts that help promote moments of calm and intentionality. I have gift guides for women and men but it's just as important to seek the same experiences for children. It's totally doable, and it might be with things you haven't even thought about this year.

Luckily, I've done the work for you. Here's my top 10 cozy gifts for the kids in your life!

  • Hooded Animal Blanket: Not only will this be their favorite go-to when it's cold, but how fun is it to play as their favorite animal? There's 15+ to choose from, so you'll absolutely find something for everyone.

  • Star Projector & Galaxy Night Light: There's nothing cooler or more calming than illuminating the night sky in a child's bedroom. This astronaut inspired light comes with 8 different nebula effects and stars galore. Use a remote to control the different features and set a timer for a night light and multi-purpose use.

  • Tent with Starry Lights: I love to gift small tents for parents to create cozy reading or play nooks. This one is complete with lights and is ready to house some fluffy blankets, pillows, and a little one's favorite books.

  • Weighted and Heatable Stuffed Animal: This is such a novel concept. It takes the effect of a warm hug and heated blanket and combines them into one. This has multiple animals to choose from (personally I love the highland cow). Microwave the plush for 30 seconds at a time to create a built-in heating pad that provides the ultimate comfort for little ones.

  • Long Distance Touch Lamps: The perfect gift for any child in a split household, who has a long-distance relative, or even just to have in another room. These lights come in a pack of two and change colors to indicate the other person is thinking about you. It brings peace of mind and warms their heart to know someone is thinking about them.

  • Breathing Pal, Meditation Breathing Light: This cute and cuddly koala is equipped with three breathing exercises, teaching meditation techniques intended to relieve anxiety and quiet the mind. Promote a peaceful environment, calm a tantrum, and build resilience in kid's by teaching them how to manage stress and big emotions.

  • Kid's Scavenger Hunt Activity: I love this one and personally gifted it to my kid's last year. This is a set of cards that lets kids get up and away from screens, as they hunt in the house or outside for different things listed. Easy enough for them to follow, easy enough for you or their parents to execute, without leaving the house or spending money.

  • Sensory Fidget Tubes: These come in a 4-pack and are a fan-favorite. With soothing textures and each with its own movement and colors, these work well in a 'calm-down corner' and are a go-to for teachers and parents when their kids are experiencing high levels of stress. I find these work well when transitioning from any screen-time (like watching a movie with the family) before another activity.

  • Silicone Busy Board: I absolutely love these and find them mesmerizing myself. Great to travel with or break out when you're looking for a kid's activity to execute with ease, fit silicone strips into a peg-like board and let your imagination run wild to create different images and shapes.

  • Animal Feet Slippers: Our list wouldn't be complete without some slippers for the little ones too. These are so cute and feature a wide array of different animal feel to choose from. Provide comfort with a sense of whimsy, and these are sure to put a smile on anyone's face.

May this guide inspire the coziest moments, the sweetest smiles, and the kind of holiday magic kids remember forever.
